How to Hit Longer Drives

A longer drive off the tee is something every golfer desires. Adding 10 or 20 or even more yards to your tee-shot can dramatically shave strokes off of your game and that is the focus of this short golf lesson.

Whether you're playing golf for money as a professional, for bragging rights or just for fun, an extra ten to twenty yards with your driver can vastly improve your ability to score well. You might be a long hitter already or you might be a player who doesn't hit it long yet, but you can add at least 10 yards to your drive easily with a simple drill that anyone can learn to practice.

For those of you, who often grab your 3-Wood or use an iron off the tee because you're afraid of going for the long ball, listen up. I understand your pain! It is extremely frustrating to try and hit a perfect driver only to be deep in the rough to left or the right of the fairway or who-the-heck knows where.

But before you give up on it and convince yourself that real golfers "Drive for show, and putt for dough" listen to what Greg Norman had to say about the subject: In his book SHARK ATTACK he wrote, "Don't ever sell me on that line. If you can't put your tee-shot in play, the smoothest stroke in the world won't help you enough. To my mind, the most important shot in golf is the drive".

Alright then, let's get started. Grab your driver and put on your normal grip.

Now release the last 3 fingers on each hand (for those of you slow learners like me, we're talking about the pinky, ring and middle finger on each hand). You should now have only the index finger (pointer) and thumb of each hand on the club.

With your left thumb and pointer, start your swing by pushing the left side of the grip back, adding just a bit of shoulder and hip turn.

Notice how the driver head extends naturally back along the target line and the toe of the club is pointing up. Your swing will now be on line and on plane and will automatically give you the right feel and easily add more than 10 yards to your tee shots with greater accuracy.

Keep drilling this until you really get the feel for it. Start slow with the driver and practice with all of your clubs. Keep this slow pace and visualize what it is you are doing. When done correctly, repeatedly and with focus, your body will remember what to do and you'll be getting the clubface in proper position time and again.

Make sure to start with your hands and then add your shoulders and hips naturally.

Too much shoulders takes the clubhead back on a shallow plane, that's why starting the club back with just your index finger and thumb, prevents you from manipulating the club off plane and helps the club extend back on that natural arc we're all looking for in order to stay on plane.

I just know that if you spend a few minutes working on this you will reap the benefits pretty quickly and start adding 10, 20 or more yards to your driver with greater accuracy.

Thanks for reading, good luck and good golfing.

Free Ringtones By Text

The telecom boom has got with it various innovative ways of offering new forms of entertainment. The most common feature that users demand is ringtones. A ringtone is just an alert to an incoming call or an SMS text message. But the mobile service providers have gone one step ahead in order to popularize their business and provide innovative ringtones to their subscribers. This has indeed lead to a great boost in the mobile phone business.

Initially, when the ringtones could not be downloaded directly from the Internet and the market penetration was less than it is now, ringtones would be passed on to users via text messages. It's still a very simple and easy form of sending ringtones, especially as many users still use old handsets. And with the popularity of this feature, it has evolved from a paid service to a free add-on feature to users.

The procedure for getting ringtones via text message is very simple. The service providers use a SMS number wherein any subscriber can send an SMS along with a 4-digit code of the requested ringtone. Once this SMS is sent, the service provider forwards the ringtone as a text message attachment to the user. The user then installs it on his or her handset and is free to use it as their ringtone. The users can also forward the same SMS to their friends. This is like a chain reaction and has lead to a phenomenal rise in the business of mobile service providers. It still remains a very popular way of sending ringtones around. But the only catch is that the user who originally requests the tone has to pay for it. However, from there, all the others who get it from the original user get it for free. So whole nothing in the world comes completely free, this is a case where it comes pretty close.

FreeRingtonesNow.net is a website that offers visitors the ability to find free ringtones and free ringers.

How Much Does a Toll-Free Number Cost?

Back in the days when land lines were the major component of communication, businesses used toll-free numbers to allow their customers to call at no personal cost. This was a big hit with the buying public, but the cost to businesses was very high. Fortunately, increased competition from cell phone companies with no long-distance charges brought the cost of toll-free numbers down significantly.

What is a Toll Free Number?

Whenever you call an 800 number, you are calling a number that is toll-free. The owner of the number is the one that gets billed for the call. Whenever we hear toll-free, we think of the 800 area code. While it is true that the area code 800 is always a toll-free phone number, there are several other area codes that are reserved for toll-free status as well. Other toll free area codes include: 888, 877, 866 numbers that are in use now. Other toll-free area codes are reserved for future use, and they include: 844, 833, and 822.

How Do You Know the Price?

Many years ago, you only had one choice for your 800 service. Things have changed these days. You can still choose to get service or your local phone company, or you can choose from a large number of telephone companies that offer toll-free service.

If you type the words "toll-free phone number" into any search engine, you will get many pages of telephone companies advertising their services. Many times right in the ad, the company will display costs for their services. Prices range from $9.99 per month and up depending on the numbers of perks that you want included in your plan.

The best way to find the best price is to talk to all of them. At least talk to several companies before you choose the right one for your business needs. Keep in mind that you need to compare all options offered with each company, as well as price to make up your mind. Once you decide which company you want, they can take care of getting your phone number and all of your service connected for you.

Do You Really Need a Toll-Free Phone Number?

Only you can decide if the benefits of having a toll-free number are worth it for your business. There are some advantages that are worth noting. The number is portable, so if you move, the number follows you around the country. You will get a better response to any advertising when you post a toll-free telephone number. Your customers like a business that doesn't charge them for telephone calls. Businesses that have toll-free numbers tend to have a better professional image and businesses that don't. It's all about credibility. A toll-free number will give you a little extra credibility with your customers.

To recap, do your research on several different companies to find the best deal for your toll-free telephone number. Compare prices, features, and benefits offered with all of the different plans.

Find a low cost toll-free number for business or personal use.

Free Girls Softball Fastpitch Drills

Any softball coach or player who wants to learn more softball drills can easily find a lot of drills in books and videos and on the internet. Most of these drills cost money but some of them are free. These free girls softball fastpitch drills are very good. Most of the free drills focus on throwing, fielding, and hitting the ball.

Throwing the Ball

The position of a player determines the most common types of throws that player will have to make. For example, a 3rd baseman will need to make hard throws all the way across the diamond to 1st base while a right fielder will most commonly have to make a longer throw from the outfield to a cut-off man near the infield or to a base.

The Before Inning Warm-up Drill

All softball coaches and players know what players do before an inning begins. The first baseman throws a grounder to each infielder while the outfielder stands in their positions and play catch. This is a common drill during games but it should also be performed everyday in practice.

The Relay Throws Drill

The Relay Throws Drill is another one of the good free girls softball fastpitch drills. This drill involves 2 outfields lining up on each side of an infielder. Each player should be about 100 feet apart.

One of the outfielders starts out with the ball and throws the infielder the ball using the crow-hop. The infielder catches the ball, pivots, and uses the crow-hop while throwing the ball to the other outfielder. That outfielder catches the ball and then throws back to the infielder, once again using the crow-hop.

This drill allows all 3 players to practice throwing using a crow-hop. It also helps teach the outfielders to hit the cutoff man. Finally, it helps the infielder practice receiving the cutoff throw, pivoting, and throwing to the desired base.

Fielding

It doesn't matter how well a team can hit and pitch if the team can't play good defense in the field. The key to playing good defense is for every player to be fundamentally sound. A great drill for this the No Glove Fielding Drill.

The No Glove Fielding Drill

Just as the name suggests, this fastpitch softball drill requires players to field the ball without a glove. The drill can be run with bare hands or with a board that is specially made for the drill and worn on the fielders' glove hand.

Players can either field balls hit to them by the coach (more advanced) or they can field balls rolled to them. They need to concentrate on keeping their upper bodies square with the ball (get in front of the ball), bending at the knees, and cradling the ball with two hands into their body.

Once players master the technique of fielding without a glove then they will find fielding with a glove much easier.

Hitting

The only way for a player to get better with hitting the ball is for them to actually hit. Players can either hit a ball off a tee (to work on the basics) or they can hit pitches. Also, a part of hitting that is often overlooked is bunting. Players should be required to lay down at least 3 bunts every time they take batting practice (BP). If possible, players should take BP every practice and before every game.

Look for Free Girls Fastpitch Softball Drills

Softball players need to be drilled on the basics of the game (throwing, fielding, and hitting) as often as possible. Any coach or player who is looking for drills to do can easily find them. In fact, there are a great many free girls softball fastpitch drills on the internet.

Email Address Tips - The Difference Between CC and BCC

Email is pretty straight forward. You type what you want to send, add the address of the person you wish to receive your message, and then you click the send button. In a matter of seconds, that person can then click on that message in their inbox and read what you have to say. There are other features on email however, that can be both extremely useful and also very dangerous. You should be sure you know how to use these features, especially the BCC and CC options.

Some people make huge mistakes when sending out emails. These could be business related, but they can also be about personal matters as well. There are times when people choose to send out mass emails. These are going to more than one person. The mistake some make is made when they reply to that email with something less than favorable to say. Instead of hitting the 'reply' button, they hit the 'reply all' button. When they do that, what they have to say goes to everyone on the list rather than just the sender. Almost everyone makes this mistake at least once.

CC on email is much like CC on business letter communications. This means carbon copy. When you add email addresses to this field in your email, you are sending a carbon copy of that email to each address. These addresses are going to be visible to everyone that gets the email. If you sent an email to your boss, his or her boss, and the company accountant, each will know that. Keep that in mind when you use this useful function.

BCC is not quite the same. This is something that does the same thing but does not work in the same way. You can add email addresses to this field and each will get a copy of that email.

However, the difference with BCC (blind carbon copy) is that the people getting the email will not see the addresses of those other recipients. This can be used when you need to know someone has seen what you have sent, but you don't want the person getting that email to know it. It is also used to protect the privacy of email addresses so that they are not presented to others who have no business having them.

When you see an email address in the CC field that you do not know, and you want to know who that person might be, you can do some online research to find out more. Some addresses are searchable and some are not, but you won't know until you search. Try a free email address search to see what comes up with your query.

Never Hit a Dog When Dog Training

You should not EVER hit a dog for any reason at all. Hitting does NOT teach the dog anything other than to fear you, and obedience is born of love, not fear. Not only will hitting not work, but it is completely counterproductive to effective dog training of any kind.

In order to effectively train a dog, you must learn to understand how a dog thinks - and yes, they DO think.

First of all, dogs are pack animals. That is their nature. Dogs do not expect to live in a democratic society in which everybody gets a vote. From a dog's point of view, it is absolutely essential that the "pack" (and the dog views the family as his pack) have a leader - a boss - an ALPHA dog. The alpha dog is in charge of the pack. The alpha dog makes the decisions for the pack and keeps the pack safe. It's a "dog" thing that you do need to understand.

Unless you are the alpha dog, the dog WILL become the alpha dog. He will nip at his other pack members. He may snarl, growl, and otherwise show the others that he IS in charge. So first of all, you must establish your position as alpha dog, but you don't do it by hitting the dog. Hitting is not a language that a dog understands.

When the dog misbehaves or transgresses, simply stop the behavior and roll him over onto his back. Hold him there and stand over him while saying "NO" firmly and in a forceful TONE of voice. Volume doesn't count. The only thing that matters is TONE. The next thing to do is show him what the correct and acceptable behavior is and then lavish praise on him when he complies.

How to Hit Your Irons - Broken Down Into Five Easy Steps (These Worked For Me)

Learn how to hit your irons effectively when you break down the swing into five workable parts. Many average golfers usually have one or more areas of their swings that is causing issues. I had a problem with a wicked slice and could not hit an iron to save my life.

I thought I could just play through my swing issues but man I was wrong. I finally got sick and tired of sucking at golf plane and simple. I finally got help with correcting my slice and learning how to hit my irons. Here is the five parts of a golf swing that when cleaned up will help eliminate your swing issues.

1. Setup is step number one. When addressing the ball it is important to remain relaxed and tense free. You should have a slight bend in the knees with your back straight while you bend at the hips. The position of the ball is important to playing well. The longer the irons the further toward the lead foot the ball should be placed. For wedges and short irons the ball should be toward the trailing foot.

2. The grip should be loose because a grip that is too tight will cause you to miss hit the ball. I always had too tight of a grip which caused miss hits and my hands to hurt by the time I got to the back nine. Just loosening my grip took seven strokes of my game.

3. The back swing should be slow and steady and not fast and jerky. Take the club back straight until the club shaft hits 9 o' clock and then begin to coil the upper body, keep the lead elbow straight and keep your eye on the ball.

4. The down swing should start with your weight being transferred onto the front or lead foot. The weight transfer should start always with the hips and not the shoulders and arms. Furthermore, keep the trailing elbow tucked close to your side.

5. The follow through will tell you a lot about how you are hitting the ball. Your swing should be a sweeping motion and the follow through should finish your swing arch.

Fixing your golf swing issues are easier to do when you break the swing into five parts to understand why you miss hit the ball. Once you understand why you miss hit take the next step and get help to eliminate them.

How long have you struggled with hitting your irons? I imagine quite a while? What has stopped you from getting better? What if I told you that you could finally master your irons? I want to provide you with a solution that you have been looking for.

Jeff Taylor has written and perfected the Masters guide to hitting irons. Jeff has even agreed to give everyone who goes through this link a free gift just for checking the site out. HittingIrons.com

Jeff is going to provide for you three of his secrets to great iron play free just by entering your email address. This book is 8 chapters of pure gold that will have you hitting your best irons ever.

Hit the Right Note by Understanding Your Vocal Range

Your vocal range is something that you must be familiar with when you are serious about becoming a singer. Your range will help you to find songs that suit your voice and will enable you to perform at the best of your abilities. Understanding what vocal range is will help guide you to being the best performer possible.

Discover your Vocal Range. Your singing range is the range of notes that you can hit when singing. For some people, their range may span many octaves, while others may find their it a bit limited. This is not a concern, though, as you can work with yourrange to help get the most from your abilities. You have to start, though, by finding out what your vocal range is.

It is easiest to start at the piano. Start with middle C and sing the notes as they are played on the piano. You will sing as high and as low as possible. Make sure to note the highest and lowest notes that you hit. It is important to note that you should only consider notes that you can comfortably sing as being part of your range. If you must strain then you have gone too low or too high.

Now to get your vocal range you will count the number of octaves that you sang. An octave consists of 7 notes. For each group of notes you sing one octave. The number of octaves is your range. Keep in mind that this is just a starting point. As you mature and go through training you can expand your vocal range, so that you can make full use of the notes you can sing.

Extending Your Vocal Range. Obviously, being able to hit more notes confidently will allow you more options in the type of songs you can sing and help keep you from being limited due to your range. You can expand upon your range through proper work and training. You should know that by saying 'expand your range' this does not mean allowing you to hit higher octaves. Your singing range is set and cannot be changed. Expanding your range is more about building strength and confidence within your vocal range.

When extending a persons range the work is focused on helping you to be able to clearly and comfortably sing the notes at both the bottom and top of your range. Your goal is to end up being able to sing those notes as clearly as you do the notes in the middle of your range.

Improving upon your range is more about being able to hit every note in your vocal range with conviction. Thus, you are able to sing any song within your range with clarity and without struggling to reach those notes at the ends of your range.

When you can sing your complete range without struggle you have the ability to choose a wider variety of songs and to put on performances with confidence. You will find that you become more stable in your singing and that your overall abilities get better because you are just more self assured about your singing abilities.

Skyler Jett is a prolific singer, songwriter and producer. He has worked with many top musicians, such as Stevie Wonder, Celine Dion and Aretha Franklin. Skyler started singing in church and fell in love with jazz and R&B at an early age. According to him understanding your vocal range is the first step to becoming a great singer. Find more tips on how to sing comfortably at http://howtosing.org
